DURBAN, THE GATEWAY TO KZN
Gliding past my head, and almost touching my hand, a shark curiously circles my cage.I cannot begin to explain this feeling…being separated only my wire, from my biggest fear. Ushaka Marine watching sharks on the other. His can only be offered in Durban. But I was told is all about the Bunny Chow!! I started off eating with a knife and fork ( you know, being civilized), but soon the hands took over, and according to the locals I “had to map my bunny”(this means finish it off quickly). Before long I was shopping up a storm at the Gateway Shopping Centre…AGAIN it seemed more focused on food. I was told that Durban spices are the best in the country and the locals like it hot! Being the Zulu Kingdom, we had taken a day excursion to view a bit of culture and a bit of game. The Zulu culture was extremely interesting and the dancing, beadwork and crafts all had special messages. I bought myself a Zulu Love letter (very pleased with my purchase!!). |
